Race Courses
AQUATHLON:
The start for all distances takes place in front of the transition zone, and the running segment is held along the coastal road of Artemida. Athletes start running to the 1,250m turnaround point, where a sign and a race official will indicate the route, and then return via the same path.
After completing the first running segment, athletes enter the transition zone, change clothes and equipment in their personal basket, and head to the beach for the swimming portion. The swimming segment is counterclockwise, with athletes passing the buoys on their left shoulder, forming a rectangular course of 1,000m. Entry and exit from the water must be done through a designated “gate” marked by two buoys near the shore.
Upon exiting the water, athletes enter the transition zone for the second time, change in their personal basket, and begin the second running segment, identical to the first. Returning to the transition zone, they complete the race by finishing under the arch.
Note: If the water temperature is below 22°C, the race will start with the 1,000m swimming segment, followed by a 5km run (2 loops of 2.5km), requiring only one transition.
Swimming Races
WSL Swim 3km (Loop: 2)
The start takes place in the water, with athletes positioned before the first buoy. They will swim counterclockwise, passing the buoys on their left shoulder, forming a rectangular 1,500m loop. They repeat the loop before finishing at the arch.
WSL Swim 1.5km (Loop: 1)
The start is in the water, with athletes positioned before the first buoy. They will swim counterclockwise, passing the buoys on their left shoulder, forming a 1,500m rectangular course before finishing at the arch.
Swim Kids 300m (Loop: 1)
The start takes place in the water. Athletes will swim counterclockwise around two buoys before finishing at the arch. The route is triangular.
City Run Races
City Run 5km (Loop: 1)
Athletes start from the arch at Artemida Beach (Trolley Café) and follow the path along the coastline. They then turn onto 25th Martiou Street, continue on Androu Street, turn left onto Sereti Street, and return to 25th Martiou Street. The route offers beautiful seaside views and a fast, comfortable course through the urban area. Athletes follow the same path back to the starting point to finish the race.
City Run 10km (Loop: 2)
Athletes follow the same route as the 5km race. After completing the first 5km, they repeat the same course and finish at the arch where they started.
City Kids Run 1km (Loop: 1)
Athletes start from the arch at Artemida Beach (Trolley Café), follow the coastal path to the turnaround point, and return to finish at the starting arch.
Bib Number Pickup
All athletes must collect their athlete kit, including all necessary race materials, from the event’s registration desk.
