Athletes uniforms must comply with the guidelines regarding authorized identification.
Uniforms must be worn during the entire competition.

1. Mandatory use of race uniform throughout the entire competition

The race uniform must be worn:

  1. during the swim

  2. during the bike

  3. during the run

  4. inside the transition zones (T1 & T2)

 

Not allowed:

  1. changing into another uniform during the race

  2. competing with a bare torso (unless a specific category allows it)

  3. removing the uniform for comfort or temperature reasons

2. Practical consequences (according to World Triathlon Rules)

Violations may result in:

  1. a warning

  2. a time penalty

  3. disqualification (DSQ) in serious cases
