Vuarnet: A legendary company
Vuarnet is a company that manufactures exclusive sunglasses. Vuarnet glasses are owned and manufactured by Sporoptic Pouilloux based in France. The trademark was developed by the invention of the Skilynx lens in 1957 by French opticians Roger Pouilloux and Joseph Hatchiguian. Sunglasses originally came under the trade name Skilynx Acier. Their current name was taken by Olympian winner Jean Vuarnet who won the gold medal at the Downhill in the 1960 Winter Olympics. Vuarnet later became the official sponsor of the Summer Olympics in Los Angeles in 1984.
