Transition Zone

Swim: 1,5km

The swim takes place at Pezoula Beach, in the village of Kalyvia. The start will be given from within the water. Athletes will pass clockwise around the next three buoys (1, 2, 3), completing the first 750m when they reach buoy #1, which is considered the official start of the swimming course. They will repeat the same route a second time before finishing at the starting point. The start and finish are at the same location. Buoy #4 serves as a marker, and athletes can pass it on either the right or left side.

Bike: 40km (Elevation Gain: 337m) – Asphalt Road

After exiting the transition zone, athletes turn left onto the municipal road leading towards Kalyvia. At the intersection with the Mesénikolas – Filakti ring road, they turn left toward the dam until reaching turnaround point A. Then, following the reverse route, they return toward Kalyvia, where they reach turnaround point B. After turning around, they head back toward turnaround point A, beginning the second bike loop.

The section between turnaround points A and B is completed four times (4 loops). Turnaround point B marks the completion of each loop. After the final loop, athletes return to the transition zone by following the reverse route. Athletes must follow the designated signage along the course and always adhere to traffic regulations. All turnarounds are left turns.

Run: 10km (Elevation Gain: 113m)

After exiting the transition zone, athletes turn left onto a dirt road that runs alongside the lake and through lush green trees. Following the marked course, they reach the first turnaround point and return toward the transition zone/finish line via the reverse route.

Just before the finish, they will encounter the second turnaround point, where they complete the first 5km loop. To complete the full 10km, they repeat the same route a second time (2nd loop) before crossing the finish line.
